About WAQF

International Waqf and Relief Foundation (IWARF)

The philosophy WAQF (endowment)

Omar bin Al-Khattab said: “O Messenger of Allah, I have got wealth from Khaybar and I have nothing that is more precious to me than that. What do you command me to do with it?” He said, “If you wish, you can put it aside and give in charity from it (from what it produces), but the original property should not be sold, given away or inherited.” So ‘Omar gave it in charity to the poor and to relatives,

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “When the son of Adam dies, all his good deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, knowledge from which others may benefit after he is gone, and a righteous son who will pray for him.

Waqf (endowment) means ‘detention’.  A detention is putting aside a donation for a specific property (project) to be held in trust so that its produce or income may always be available and used for charitable purposes. This could be for the purposes of education, water waqf, or orphan education waqf to support the ongoing projects we are implementing on the ground.

You can also have a share of waqf in our projects, in the form of a continuous sadaqah, for yourself, or any of your relatives; mainly to fund schools, hospitals, education, water or any project

International Waqf and Relief Foundation (IWARF) is a British registered charitable agency, which started in 2013, working across the globe in areas including Bangladesh, Eritrea, Palestine, Kashmir, Myanmar, Yemen and locally in the UK.
